LGBTQ Organizations

The Tennessee Equality Project advocates for the equal rights of LGBTQ people in Tennessee. We do this through legislative advocacy. That means we lobby the Tennessee General Assembly and local governments around the state.

Knox Pride Festival is an open celebration of music, entertainment and speakers focused on promoting equality and Inclusion for all. Throughout the afternoon and evening, vendors will have the opportunity to display information about their organization and/or business, sell or handout items of interest and interact with our community to promote inclusion and equality for the LGBTQ+ citizens of Knoxville and surrounding areas!

Use our voices, strengths, and individual gifts to create enriching musical experiences; promote inclusion, equality, and empathy; end hostility toward minority populations; and better our world through community partnerships.

HIV Testing

As a public health agency, we work to promote and protect the health of everyone in our community. We track and monitor diseases, conduct extensive health education and outreach, provide and connect people with care, enforce food safety and air quality laws and regulations, prepare for public health emergencies, and more — all with the goal to ensure the conditions in which every Knox County resident can be healthy.

HIV Assistance

Our programmatic pillars include:

  1. Medical Clinic that provides disease testing, treatment, and prevention along with a full service pharmacy;
  2. Client Services which includes therapy and mental health, food, housing, and transportation support;
  3. Our Harm Reduction program which offers a syringe services exchange, naloxone distribution, fentanyl test strips, and resources for our neighbors who use substances.

    We offer a “one-stop shop” for care and address the needs of each client individually, with dignity and respect. We believe a city is better when all its citizens are healthy, active contributors.
